Michael Fryar Obituary
Michael Anthony Fryar, 42, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, following a tragic accident. He was born in Rome, Georgia, on March 12, 1983, to Catherine Cox and the late William Fryar. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lois Gladkoff; aunts, Sarah Marris, Joyce Forrister; grandfather, JoJo Rogers; mother of his oldest child, Jessica Ford.
He is survived by his wife, Charissa Fryar; mother, Catherine Cox; daughters, Aleigha (Spencer Holzer) Ford; Karrissa (Alex Dockery) Fryar, and a baby that will be joining the family in February.
Michael was an excellent mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, and son. He was the brightest light in our dark days.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
The funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00 PM from Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Allen Williams, Matthew Bartz, Michael Atkinson, Chad Holtzclaw, Brad Hutchens, Sammy Sisson, Steven Sisson, Josh Holtzclaw, and Bubba Chastain.
