Michael Galewski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home - Tidewater Drive Chapel on Dec. 4, 2025.
Michael Richard Galewski, 48, passed away on November 27, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born on March 9, 1977, in Norfolk, Virginia, Michael lived a life marked by humor, loyalty, and deep devotion to those he loved.
A graduate of Bayside High School, Michael remained rooted in the Virginia Beach area throughout his life working as an electrician and fire alarm specialist for the DOD. Known affectionately to family and friends, he brought laughter and spirited conversation wherever he went. He had a sharp wit and a love for comedy that made him the life of any gathering. Whether watching stand-up specials or engaging in lively debates-always ready to argue his point with passion-Michael's presence was unforgettable.
Michael was a loving father who adored his children deeply. His daughter Ella Grace Galewski held a special place in his heart. Even though he endured the heartbreaking loss of his son Ellis Galewski and brother David Galewski, Michael still remained steadfast in his devotion to his loved ones. He cherished them all deeply and his love never wavered.
He is survived by his father Theodore Galewski; mother Lynne Galewski; sister Marci Galewski; niece Alexa Sue Galewski; daughter Ella Grace Galewski; grandmother Audrey Hamlet; and long-time partner Kristen Fleet. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.
Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life-watching Steelers football games with enthusiasm, managing fantasy football teams with competitive spirit, and spending time with longtime friends whose bonds spanned decades. His loyalty ran deep, and those close to him knew they could always count on his support.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Hamlet; grandmother, Sue Galewski; brother, David Galewski; and beloved son Ellis Galewski.
Michael's legacy is one of resilience, humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
