Michael Geltz Obituary
05/14/1947 - 12/25/2025
Michael Andrew Geltz, 78 of Concord, California left us peacefully on December 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Margaret Geltz and siblings, Mary Gillies, Robert, John & Thomas Geltz. Michael was a beloved son, brother, father, husband, uncle, cousin, father-in-law and friend. Michael is survived by his wife, Nelia Geltz, daughter and son in-law Racquel and Ken Mazur. He was born in Oakland, California where his family owned The Geltz Machinery Co. He spent his youth in Oakland and Torrance CA. Early in his marriage he attended UC Berkeley and attained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He was a successful businessman. He served in the Army & is a Vietnam veteran. At 6'2" he excelled at playing his most favorite pastime basketball & enjoyed playing mini golf with his daughter. Attending concerts, plays & the ballet to watch his daughter perform were always highlights of happiness for him. He was a great supporter of his wife of 55 years and his daughter in all their endeavors. No job was more important to him than that of being a husband and father. He is beloved by his friends and family and will be deeply missed. The family extends a heartfelt gratitude to all who cared for him in his final days. A Celebration of Life will be held in January 2026.

and have Racquel set trends for dance for other girls

Uncle Mike, where do I start? I love you-You were such an important part of my life. I will miss your annual phone call around my birthday or Theresa´s. Some years you´d hit it right on the day others a little late, we´d laugh and catch up on our families.. I know you´ll be watching over all of us now, rest in peace my brave and sweet uncle Mike.
