Michael D. Graubner

Michael D. Graubner passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Close to Home Assisted Living in Saginaw with his family at the age of 63 years. He was born on December 28, 1960 in Saginaw, the son of the late Andrew and Rosemary (McSherry) Graubner. Mike graduated from Vassar High School and attended Alma College and Central Michigan University. He lived in the Vassar area most of his life and worked in residential wallpaper and painting. Mike was a loving caregiver for his parents for several years and was a member of St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Lucy.
Surviving family include his siblings, Patricia (Joe) Hauger, John (Caroline) Graubner, Susan (Lee) Salehi and James (Robin) Graubner; aunt & godmother, Betty LaPorte; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Rosemary; a sister, Mary Lou Winarski and a niece, Andrea Hauger.
The family will be present to greet friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Private burial will take place at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Reese. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the wishes of the family.
