Michael "Mick" J. Grimm, died October 27, 2022, unexpectedly at his home in Hutchinson, KS. Mick, also known as Little Micky G., Moosey, Princess, or Big Micky G., was born July 2, 1961, in Hutchinson, KS, to Jack L. Grimm and Amy Arylene (Williams) Grimm.
Mick attended school in Hutchinson, but graduated from Mooreland High School in Oklahoma. Mick was an entrepreneur and a man of many talents. He received his first drum set at the age of six and took an instant liking to playing the drums. As a young teen, he took professional drum lessons, after only one lesson the instructor told him not to come back because, "you are better than I am!" Mick then began giving drum lessons himself at a young age. He even published a book called, The Bible of Heavy Metal Drumming. Mick then played in several bands traveling to many states pursuing his passion of drumming. He played in Elan, The Penetrator's, and Slate Creek to name a few. He then traveled to Branson, Missouri to pursue his passion of drumming. After carpal tunnel ended his much loved drumming career, he then owned and operated a mixed martial arts business called Warfare Extreme for a few years. He was also into body building since he was in his mid-twenties. Mick then began designing websites. He designed many websites for businesses and many friends, multiple times (free of charge), because of his giving and loving nature. His latest endeavor was helping his good friends, Gary and Julie, sell their products over the internet for their business. Mick had so many friends who loved and adored him, and he felt the same way about every single one of them.
Mick was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; infant niece, Kylea Kay; his beloved sister, Debby Grimm-Hendershot; his beloved nephew, Richard Lee Hendershot Jr.; and his beloved fur-baby, Kizmet.
He is survived by a daughter, Breckon Shiflet; and two grandchildren, Eden and Rowan, of Texas; his sister, Becky Grimm and her partner, Tom Kunzie; special nieces, Stephani Hendershot-Spiess, Jaime Casey, Tyann White, Autymn Pina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
By the way, did anybody know Mick's true age? That was a secret he liked to keep and nobody ever knew why. That was one of his many eccentric behaviors. He had a sense of humor like no other that everyone will miss.
Mick has been cremated and there will be no services. His special friends, Gary and Julie, are taking his ashes to a Florida beach to scatter. We love you, Micky Jack, and like your mom would say, "Thank you and goodnight."

Mick was one of the best drummers I have ever had the honor to work with. He could play any style and loved challenges. He was also one of the few friends I could talk to about anything. Although forced to give up drumming, he never stopped making music. He continued to learn bass guitar while programming drum parts right to the end. I will miss you old friend and keep alive all the crazy memories and fun we had.
