Michael J. Guarnieri

Michael J. Guarnieri, 65, passed away suddenly and peacefully on September 30, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side.
A lifelong Stamford resident, he was well known by many; especially working many years as a butcher for the ShopRite/ Cingari Family. Liked by all, Mike had a warm heart and would lend a hand to anyone in need. He was an avid golfer, loved fishing, NASCAR, and was a lifelong Yankees and Miami Dolphins fan.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Marylou Guarnieri, mother-in-law, Mary Petito; and brother-in-law Salvatore LoBalbo, Sr.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Michele; two daughters, Jennifer Lyon and Melissa (Guarnieri) Ordonez and her husband, whom he loved as a son, Erik Ordonez; his two special grandchildren, who were his entire world, Jenna and Ryan; his 103-year-old father-in-law, Michael Petito; his only brother, whom he was very close to, Robert Guarnieri, his wife, Trisha and their two sons, whom Mike was very proud of, Robert and Richard. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Diane; his nephews Salvatore Jr., Alfred and Michael LoBalbo; eight great-nephews and great-nieces; his special uncle, Carmine Guarnieri and his wife Anna; as well as by many, many cousins.
Mike was a loving, devoted husband, proud father and grandfather. He would do anything for his family and loved them more than anything in the world. He was especially proud of his grandkids, who were his pride and joy; sharing photos of them at every opportunity he had. He will be missed terribly, the pain in our hearts is unbearable and has left a void in all of our hearts that will never be filled.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 12pm – 4pm at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT.
