Michael Thomas Hallman, affectionately known as "Big Mike," passed away peacefully in his home on December 29, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on September 16, 1971, in Atlanta, Georgia, Michael's life was a testament to love, humor, and unwavering support for those around him.
From an early age, Michael exhibited a natural charm that drew people to him. His engaging personality was complemented by a vibrant sense of humor, making him a beloved figure among family, friends, and the motorcycle community. Michael spent four years proudly serving in the Air Force, where he received his IT training and served during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. This chapter of his life not only fostered a strong work ethic but also a profound sense of camaraderie that he carried to his current work life at ConvergeOne.
Michael's greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He reveled in summer days camping and time spent at the beach. His laughter was contagious and his bad Dad jokes always entertained. He shared his enjoyment of board games with his children, instilling in them the love for these games that they carry on today. His dedication to lending a helping hand was unwavering; whether it was assisting friends or giving back to the motorcycle community, he always stepped up when others needed support.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, with whom he shared 11 wonderful years. Michael is also grieved by his cherished children: Sgt. Logan Klocek, Kaitlyn Hallman, Isabella Klocek, and Shelby Hallman. He also leaves behind his grieving parents Dr. Doug Hallman and RayaSue Hallman & sister April Harkins. Each of them carries forward the values and memories he imparted, keeping his spirit alive in their hearts.
Michael joins in eternity his beloved Grandmom Marilynn Hallman and MGySgt Patrick Allen, who predeceased him, leaving a legacy of compassion and love.
The family invites all who knew Michael to celebrate his life at a Memorial Gathering on January 12, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando, starting at 12:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. This gathering will offer a poignant opportunity for friends and family to come together, share memories, and honor the light that was Big Mike—truly gone too soon.
