Mr. Michael "Monkey" Hancock, age 62, beloved husband to Mrs. Lisa Carlin Hancock, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his family on Thursday April 17, 2025 at his home on "Rabbit Hill", in Burnettown.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, David (Crystal) Carlin, Tyler (Kala) Hancock, Kenneth (Allan) Hancock, Leeann (Josh) Chavis; grandchildren, Tanley, Brenner, Zay, Jackson, Eli, Luke, Brantlee; brothers, William (Debbie) Hancock, Chris Hancock, David Hancock; sister, Angie (Johnny) Colyer; mother in law Barbara Farmer (whom he loved like a mother); brother in law (whom he loved like a brother), Henry (Amber) Carlin; sisters in law (whom he loved like sisters), Roseann Baughman, Heather Crowder and her husband Foster (whom he loved like a brother); other nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; his uncle in law, Eddie Little; and life long friend Kenny (Emily) Kneece.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Hancock and Joann Key Hancock Eubanks and niece Lacey Colyer.
Michael was a family man and was very proud of his family. He took pride in his grand kids. They were his world. He loved the Carolina Gamecocks and he enjoyed watching NASCAR. Michael worked for American Concrete in Aiken. Before going to work every morning, he loved to go to the Circle (K) on Hwy 421 and get the morning gossip and drink a cup of coffee with his "buddies". He will be deeply missed by all whose lives hes touched.
A funeral service honoring his life and legacy will be held on Tuesday April 22, 2025 at 4pm in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Pastor Ashley Hawkins, Pastor Rick West and Rev. Chris Lowe officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening April 21, 2025 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Dewayne Gray, Brian Gray, Brandon Kelly, James Taylor Jr. , Josh Harris and Foster Crowder.
