Michael E. Hundley

Michael E. Hundley, age 71, of Urbanna, VA, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. He was born on June 23, 1954, to the late Vernon Calvin Hundley and Jacqueline Louise Condee.
Michael was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be remembered for the love and care he shared with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Renee Hundley. He is also survived by his bonus children, J.D. Adams and Christy (Joe) Hogge; beloved grandchildren, Madison, Robert, Emma, Jace, Lainey, Jayden, and Brycen; brothers, Bill (Denise) Hundley, Ron (Kim) Hundley, Ken (Debra) Hundley, and Barry (Gayle) Hundley; his sister, Theresa (Joe) Wyatt; and his cherished aunt and uncle, Sara and Johnny Ferrara. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly.
Throughout most of his career, Michael worked as a mechanic, a trade in which he took great pride. He was also an avid fan of the Washington Redskins, cheering for his team through every season and always declaring, "They're number one!" Mike was a comedian and a ham as he loved telling jokes and playing the guitar. Mike and Renée traveled a lot throughout their marriage and made lots of memories together. Although Mike had been sick with a brain virus for the last 16 years of his life, he always made the best out of each day and continued to be the comedian that he's always been.
Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in those who knew him best.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at New Hope Memorial Baptist Church 14173 New Hope Road Shacklefords, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The family invites everyone to join them for a Fellowship Luncheon immediately following the memorial service.
