Michael James Iannone, Sr., 70, of Raeford passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Michael was born on November 8, 1954, in Utica, NY to the late Tomasino Iannone and Mildred Moore Iannone.
Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served 12 years. He retired from Fort Bragg Fire Department after 35 years of service. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his son clearing land, especially on burning days.
He loved cars and loved tinkering with his older model corvettes that he had collected. He was the happiest when he traveled to Atlantic City or any other area where there was a casino.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life at 3 p.m. in the Chapel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Antoinette Duff, and Donna Marie Iannone; and his granddaughter, Makaela Iannone.
He is survived by his daughters, Jody Iannone, Antoinette Iannone and Alicia Iannone; son, Michael J. Iannone, Jr. and wife Marissa; siblings, Tommy Iannone, Jeanette Jones, Mary Grace Iannone, Elvira Main and Nicholas Moore; grandchildren, Brandon-Michael Canady, Jonathon Kaeleb Iannone, Melena-Rose Iannone, Tristan Iannone, Alexis Iannone, Michael-Jaiden Iannone, Brian Canady, Nicholas Iannone, and Madison Iannone; and several great grandchildren.
