Played little league baseball at Gresham Park... I was tossing a bucket of baseballs to warm up pitching-prior to a night game- I was alone. Mike showed up -first time we met- he was 3 years older- probably 11 or 12, he also alone. Mike asked if I would play catcher as he pitched- first pitch he tossed a huge breaking curve ball coming toward my face but quickly dipped hitting me on my chin.. I yelped & hobbled and Mike felt really bad.. wiping away the tears, Mike then showed me how to throw a curve and I became an all star myself that same season- we lived blocks from each other & when he bought the new yellow car after drafted -he drove my house saw me in yard playing pitch with my brother-shouted out-keep practicing kid-watch out for the curve ball- that´s last time I saw Mike..
