On February 9, 2025, Michael A. Jenkins passed away after a courageous battle with ALS. Mike lived in the Gambrills and Odenton area for over 40 years. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a truck driver for Shoppers Warehouse for many years before working at the National Institute of Health as a Maintenance Mechanic. He retired in 2017. Mike enjoyed barbequing and cooking meat to perfection. He collected old coins and enjoyed trying to find lost treasure through metal detecting. Growing up in Southern Maryland, he enjoyed seafood, especially crabbing. He also loved to fly his kites, saying "the bigger, the better!". Mike loved watching television! He especially enjoyed watching old movies, Sci-Fi shows like Twilight Zone, and ghost, big foot and alien shows. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and was excited about Making America Great Again.
Beloved husband of 36 years to Terresa "Terry" Jenkins (nee Williams); devoted father of Amanda Mae Cook (husband Matt) and Michael V. Jenkins; caring brother of Billy Jenkins, Patty Yurisa; and Kelley Jenkins; loving grandfather of Mackenzie, Aubree, and Barrett Cook. He was predeceased by his parents Vernon and Marquerite Jenkins and his siblings Louis, Robert, Johnny Jenkins and Carol Ridgely. He is also survived by many other loving family members and dear friends.
