Michael Timothy Kaforke, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, left this world far too soon on October 19, 2024, at the age of 38. He was born on January 23, 1986, in Indianapolis, to parents, Timothy and Connie Kaforke.
Michael was a member, baptized and confirmed at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Carmel Indiana. He spent time helping the younger kids in catechism.
Michael graduated from Westfield High School in 2004. Michael earned is BS from California State University, Fullerton in 2009, Kinesiology. He then returned home to attend Indiana State University where he earned his Master of Science in PA 2013.
Education was crucial to Michael, who invested in himself, earning both a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree. His thirst and love for knowledge complemented his entrepreneurial spirit, showing just how committed he was to building a future worthy of his aspirations. Michael understood the importance of hard work, and this drive was evident once becoming the owner of his own business, Ideal Solutions.
From a young age, Michael displayed an unwavering enthusiasm for sports, especially wrestling at Cal State. He enjoyed being outside, running, kayaking, hiking, hunting, soccer, lacrosse and all sports. He carried that same dedication into his adult life, remaining active and valuing fitness as an essential part of his routine. His love for physical activity mirrored his approach to everything he did—energetic, spirited, and filled with a zest for life. Mike once took a trip to the Smokey Mountains. There was a little girl from the Make a Wish foundation that could not make it up the mountain on her own. He volunteered to put her on his back and he carried her up that mountain. He wanted to help people.
Above all, Michael adored his family and friends, holding them close to his heart. He found immense joy in his relationships and was especially fond of his beloved dogs, who were never far from his side. Their companionship brought him comfort and happiness, mirror images of the love he so readily gave to those around him.
Michael is survived by his parents, Timothy and Connie Kaforke; sister, Ashlee Morris; nephews, Gavinn and Liam; niece, Noriella; his uncles and aunts, Steve and Barb, Betsy and Fred, Russ and Cheryl. He will also be missed by his cousins, Gina, Brooke, Brittney, Christopher, Matthew and their spouses.
