Michael N. Keenon, 87 of Midland, passed away peacefully Monday, July 28, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 24, 1938, in Midland, son of the late Michael and Ethelyne (Johnson) Keenon. Michael grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School in 1957. He proudly served his country in The United States Army for 3 years and in the Army reserve for another 3 years. On November 3, 1977, he married the former Janis Stark at Homer United Methodist Church. He was employed at Dow Corning for over 30 years in the Powerhouse until his retirement. Michael was gifted at telling his amusing stories and making people laugh. He always made sure to call people on special days and make them feel loved. He especially enjoyed hunting, being at the hunting camp Outpost No. 7, and gardening.

Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janis; children, Michael (Leslie) Keenon II, Trisha (Jamie) Herkle, and Tracie Keenon; grandchildren; Tayler (Alex) Ramireze, Mikayla (fiancé Jordan) Keenon, and Savannah Haney; 2 great grandchildren, Briar and Baylor and his beloved nieces, Kristy and Debbie. He is also survived by his brothers Tim (Mary Ann) Keenon and Dennis Keenon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, John P. O'Sullivan.

Cremation will take place, and interment will be held at a later date in Homer Township Cemetery. All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Keenon family has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
