Michael J. Kidd

Michael J. Kidd, age 69, passed away on October 2, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Mike fought a courageous battle, especially the last three months at the University Of Pennsylvania Hospital. Throughout his fight, Mike always kept his witty sense of humor and became his doctors and nurses favorite patient.
Mike is predeceased by his parents Jack and Alice (Frew) Kidd and his brother James Kidd.
He is survived by the love of his life, Maryellen S. (Jablonowski), who he met at the age of 16 and has been happily married to for 51 years. He was a loving father to Dana (John) Kidd, Karen Kidd (Joe Grubb), Michael (Jill) Kidd, Super Pop Pop to Sara (Kevin), Janey and Hank and Great Pop Pop to Evelyn Jay. Mike loved spoiling his grandchildren and loved every minute he got to spend with them. He is also survived by his siblings Barbara Read, Richard (Judy) Kidd, Patricia Midili, Jack Kidd, loving brother-in-law to the three John's and their spouses, Trish (John), Lisa (John), Peggy (John) and loving uncle to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Family was most important to Mike. He loved hosting events so he could be with his family and dear friends. Mike worked at Langston Corporation over 25 years. He retired from Johnson Mathey in Wayne, PA. Since retirement, Mike was able to pick up his golf game. He was a member of the Pitman Senior League. Mike looked forward every Wednesday to golfing with his golf buddies Dan and Bill. Mike loved spending time at the shore. Many good times were spent at #113 in North Wildwood. He loved to listen to music, especially his favorite, The Rolling Stones. Mike was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and especially enjoyed traveling to see the Phillies in Clearwater for spring training.
Mike always said he wanted to be remembered this way: When this you see, remember me and bear me in your mind. Let the world say as they may--speak of me as you find.
Friends may greet the family on Thursday,9am-12pm in the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Avenue (Kings Hwy), Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Service will be Thursday at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, please give blood or platelets in remembrance of Michael.
