Michael M. Kleiman

Michael M. Kleiman, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2024. He was born on November 12, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Jack and Sylvia Kleiman, alongside his twin brother, Mark.
In 1967, Michael proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for four years as a Boatswain Mate. After his discharge, Michael continued his education, first attending Tri-C and later graduating from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor (JD) from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Michael practiced law in both Lake and Cuyahoga Counties, serving clients with dedication and professionalism. He practiced at Cook Legal Clinic in Mentor before joining Hyatt Legal Services for 10 years. Thereafter, he maintained a private practice of law in Mentor for 12 years. He was highly respected by his clients for his work ethic and commitment.
On September 27, 1977, Michael married Sally J. Klock, and together they had one daughter, Sara M. Kleiman, who was the light of his life.
Outside of his professional life, Michael had many passions. He enjoyed lifting weights and maintaining his homes in Willowick and Mentor, Ohio, where he took pride in caring for his yard and his beloved Shetland Sheepdogs: Damian, Domino, Sunny, Sasha, and Skye. Michael was also an avid traveler, having enjoyed twelve wonderful cruises throughout his lifetime.
Michael will be laid to rest in the Klock Family plot at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville, New York.
He is deeply missed by his wife, daughter, family, friends, and all those who knew him. Michael's integrity, work ethic, love for his family, and devotion to his animals will be fondly remembered and forever cherished.
