Michael D. "Mike" Kloiber, 63, of Mertztown, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, with his family by his side. Born and raised in Allentown, he was the son of the late Donald R. and Barbara A. (Dax) Kloiber. Mike was a graduate of Parkland High School and was a star baseball athlete which awarded him a scholarship to attend North Carolina State University. He also attended Muhlenberg College, majoring in computer programming from which he built his professional career. In his personal life, Mike was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed watching and rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies and was a die hard Eagles fan. For those who were lucky enough to know him, they would find his laugh infectious. His presence lit up any room he entered and he was known to entertain with the best jokes. Mike was a history buff, enjoyed his many antique collections, and had a great respect for the U.S. military. To Mike, family and friends meant everything and with that deep love, he would do anything for them. He believed in putting others first, ahead of himself and this core value he carried forward throughout his life. His closest and best friend was his son Weston, for whom he beamed with the most pride and will forever be his greatest accomplishment.

I remember the good times my brother, Greg, had playing baseball with Mike and the two Kloiber dads coaching together. Wonderful memories!! Joyfully rest Mike.
