Beloved son of Jenny and Jim Latham of Aurora, IL, loving brother of Matt and Emily Latham, both of Aurora. Adored grandson of the late Karin Jacobs (nee Schneiders) and Bill Jacobs of Aurora; the late Beverly and Robert Latham, Godson of Dave Spears of Naperville. Dear nephew of Angie (Geoff) Bushelle; Melody (John) Wilp of LaGrange Park and Robert Latham. Adored cousin of Nick and Dylan Bushelle; Melody (Mike) Becker of LaGrange Park and Lindsay (Joe) Crocker of Germany; Joey (Shannon) Latham of Brookfield and Tony Latham. He has a big extended family throughout Illinois, Germany, and Spain as well.
Michael was born at Edward Hospital in Naperville and grew up in Aurora, IL. He attended Gombert Elementary School, Still Middle School and Waubonsie Valley High School (Class of 2018). He was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and enjoyed sports such as baseball, football and wrestling. Michael was a sweet and loyal friend to many, having gone on mission trips with First Presbyterian Church of DuPage in Bolingbrook and Knox Church of Naperville. He helped in Albion, Michigan, Springfield, Ohio and Joplin, Missouri with clean-ups and building efforts. He was continually active with the youth group at First Presbyterian and volunteered with many activities like Vacation Bible School, church clean ups and many fundraisers.
Michael's grandmother Karin traveled all throughout their lives with him and his siblings. They went to Disneyworld, Niagara Falls, South Dakota and all over the Midwest hiking and taking adventures. He also had the wonderful experiences of going to a lake house with the Schenekls in Wisconsin as well as Disneyland in California and Cabo San Lucas with his dear friends the Riveras. In 2019 Michael, his grandma Karin and brother Matt went on Karin's dream trip to Arizona, the Grand Canyon, and Sedona. Her passing came that next spring during the peak of the pandemic and devastated all her friends and family. We will honor them both and hold them both in our hearts forever.
A private family viewing will be held.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 1:00-4:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville.
A celebration of Michael's and his grandmother, Karin's lives will follow Sunday, 4:00 PM in the funeral home.

Michael was in the wrestling team with me so this news is hard to hear. He always was the bright light on our team, always smiling and overall just brought a caring vibe that we all needed. Rest in peace Michael.

Micheal went to school with me at waubonsie we never talked much but he was always kind to others and me. He cracked jokes and was goofy that´s how I will remember him. may he Rest In Peace.
