Michael Wayne Lehman June 2, 1963 - August 7, 2025 Michael Wayne Lehman, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at his home in Rancho Mirage, California. He was 62 years old. Born on June 2, 1963, in Burbank, California, Michael was the son of the late Ruth and Harold Lehman. Michael shared more than 30 years with his devoted husband, David Grandner. Together they built a life filled with love and lasting memories-traveling often to Europe, living by the beach and in the desert, and making each new place their own. Michael is survived by his sisters, Sharon and Evie, and his brothers, David, Frank, and Chuck. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Harold Lehman, and his brothers, Bill and John. He also cherished his nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Michael's passions brought him joy. He loved gardening, cycling, and birdwatching-especially feeding his beloved hummingbirds-as well as cooking and watching classic Hollywood films, particularly those starring Joan Crawford. He cared deeply for nature and animals, most especially his cherished dog Sophie, whom he loved dearly and who remained by his side until the end. He found special happiness at the cabin on Thunder Lake in northern Minnesota, where he enjoyed the beauty and solitude of the outdoors, along with fun times boating and four-wheeling through the back woods. Those who knew Michael will remember him for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and gentle spirit. He will be forever loved and remembered by his husband, family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Donations will support the family and honor the causes closest to his heart-animal rescue and conservation efforts-honoring Michael's love for dogs, cats, birds, and the natural places he cherished.
