LINDSEY, Michael R., passed away suddenly on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 56 years of age.
Mike was born September 25, 1968. He graduated from Western Hills High School, where he was a student athlete participating in football, wrestling, and baseball. He was a member of the 1986 Western Hills High School state championship baseball team.
He married Sue Faigle on May 6, 1989. They had two sons together, Zachary and Tyler.
Mike attended both Mount St. Joseph University and Xavier University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education,Master of Education in Special Education and Principal Licensure. He spent the last 27-plus years as a coach, teacher and administrator for several school districts including the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Oak Hills, Cincinnati Public, Mount Healthy and most recently West Clermont Schools.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his wife, Sue and his two sons Zachary and Tyler, as well as extended family members and dear friends. Mike enjoyed many hobbies including home improvement projects, gardening, and fishing, especially with his dad Dave. When not at home, Mike enjoyed coaching. His favorite sport to coach was baseball but he also coached wrestling, football and even girls’ basketball. Known for his dedication to his students and athletes and his witty one-liners in the dugout, he was beloved by many. He believed all his students could learn and be successful.
Mike was preceded in death by his loving parents Mary Lou (nee Lindsey) Owens and David Owens.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Sue Lindsey (nee Faigle), sons Zachary and Tyler Lindsey, and sister Leah (Roni) Elliot-DeMatos. Also survived by his many cousins, extended family, many friends and countless colleagues, students and athletes.

Visitation at MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Bridgetown Rd., on SUNDAY, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard of Clairvaux, 7130 Harrison Ave., on MONDAY at 10:00 AM with Celebration of Life to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cincinnati Animal CARE Humane Society, 3949 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45223 or to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
