It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael A. Loebs, who left us on May 7, 2024. Born in Iowa Falls, IA, on June 15, 1959, Michael was a beacon of strength, kindness, and dedication. His life was a testament to the beauty of perseverance and the power of a steadfast spirit. As Maya Angelou once said, "We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated." This quote perfectly encapsulates the essence of Michael's journey through life.
Michael, a resident of South Beloit, Illinois for the last decade, made a remarkable name for himself in the construction industry. As a roofer, he spent more than three decades ensuring that homes were safe and secure, just like he did for everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His tireless work ethic was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. Although he never married, he was a beloved father to Stephanie Kitchen and Allen Patch. He was also a cherished son, predeceased by his parents, John LeFlore and Carol Berg. In his retirement years, Michael's infectious laughter and warm heart continued to be a source of comfort and joy to all.
Michael's legacy is a testament to a life well-lived and full of love. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. His dedication to his work, his love for his children, and his unwavering spirit have left indelible marks on our hearts. Michael's life reminds us of a quote by Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Indeed, Michael has become a part of us all, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
We invite you to celebrate Michael's life by sharing your memories, stories, and photographs on his memorial page. His life was a tapestry of beautiful moments and experiences, and we would love to hear your unique threads that make up the story of Michael Loebs.
