Michael Marantz Obituary
After his military service he continued his career in communications working for multiple television stations in the DC area as an Engineer. He retired in July 2017 after a 52- year career with the Fox affiliate WTTG in Washington, DC. In retirement Mike enjoyed relaxing on his front porch while reading a good book. Mike passed away on May 18, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.
He survived by his loving wife of 57 years Sandra. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Mike's name to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.

I worked with Mike for 30 years at WTTG. Mike always had a joke or a riddle to tell. He worked on Lots of gear and made lots of microphone cables. Rest in peace Mike.

I worked with Mike for 35 of those 52 years at WTTG. He always had a joke or a riddle to tell when I walked into the shop in the morning. He fixed a
Lot of equipment and made miles of microphone cables during that time. He kept the station running. I will miss that dry wit. Rest in peace my friend.
