Michael Mathis Obituary
Mike grew up in Washington, PA and is a graduate of both Washington High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He retired from the University's payroll department in 2012 after 30 years of dedicated service. He was known for his devotion to God, his infectious smile and his love for music of all genres.
Mike is survived by his sister, Barbara Johnson (Butler, PA) and his brother, Richard Mathis (Washington, PA) as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents (Adam and Beatrice Mathis), brothers Larry Mathis, Thomas Mathias, and Theodore Mathis; sisters Deca Sadler and Linda Bruce. In lieu of services, please consider celebrating his life by contributing to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mike was always kind and friendly with a smile that lit up the room. He was a really good guy and will be missed by many. My sympathies to his family with prayers for strength and comfort.
