Michael Truman McAlpin passed away July 30, 2024, at the age of 57. He was born April 26, 1967, in Jackson, TN, to the late Truman McAlpin and the late Shirley Howell McAlpin Graves.
Mike was a very generous and kind soul. He was loved by so many family members, friends and co-workers everywhere he worked. He found joy in doing things for others, especially spoiling his nephews, Levi and Landon, as well as his great nephews, Titus and Ezekiel. He was so excited to know he had a great niece on the way (due in January) that he had already bought something for her.
Mike is survived by his sister Wanda King (Roger) of Bolivar; his brother, Jeremy Graves (Jackie) of Jackson; stepmother, Marilyn McAlpin of Crocker, MO; uncle, Kenneth Howell (Teresa) of Hickory Valley; four aunts, Glenda Irvin (Billy) of Lucy, TN, Sandra Howell Wright of Walnut, MS, Frances Howell and Dora Howell of Middleton; niece, Rachel Gaffney (Samuel) of Van Cleave, MS; three nephews, Matthew King of Cloverport, Landon and Levi of Jackson; two great-nephews, Titus and Ezekiel of Van Cleave, MS; great-niece, Lydia Elise Gaffney, due in January; one very special friend, whom he loved, Kelly Masters of Pocahontas, and her granddaughters, Lindsey Watkins and AnnaLeigh Masters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, James Elbert Howell and Lula Mae Howell of Middleton; paternal grandparents, Vestus and Lucy Mcalpin of Middleton; nine uncles, Cecil, Bobby, John and Donald Howell of Middleton, Van McDonald of Middleton, Johnny Wright of Walnut, MS, Golden and Thomas McAlpin of Middleton and Leo Vandiver of Bolivar; six aunts, Bonnie and Martha Lois Howell of Middleton, Thelma McDonald of Middleton, Fairy Mcalpin and Gracie Stone of Middleton and Margaret Vandiver of Bolivar; and cousins, Randall Howell, Michelle Howell Tranium of Middleton, Ben McDonald, and Samuel Pearl.
