Michael Howard McCabe

Michael Howard McCabe March 12, 1944- November 10, 2025
Michael was born in Kermit Texas March 12th, 1944, to his loving parents Lima Lorene Tibbets and Claud Alton McCabe. He was the youngest of three children preceded in death by his oldest brother, Jimmy McCabe and is survived by his brother, Derald McCabe. Michael is also preceded in death by his wife Donna McCabe, daughter Kimberly McCabe, grandson Timothy Heinze, mother Lima Tibbetts and father Claud "Lefty" McCabe.
Michael graduated Kermit High School in Kermit Texas in 1963 and immediately enlisted in the Army. He collected medals and honors as a helicopter mechanic and sharpshooter, in 1963 he was deployed in Augsburg Germany and later went on to Vietnam before returning home in 1968.
He met and later married his wife Donna McCabe November 23, 1973, and settled down in Aztec, New Mexico where they raised their children and grandchildren. He will forever be missed by his children Susanne Lohmüller, Michael G. McCabe, Courtney McCabe & LaShelle Denney as well as his Grand-children Sandy Heinrich, Denise Förderer, Patrick Schöttle, Lena Lohmüller, Lara Lohmüller, Amanda McCabe, Michael McCabe, Samantha Evans, Chantel Thatcher, Sean Albin, Zaylen McCabe, Annabel Neuenschwander, Ellie McCabe, Zeke McCabe, Samule Denney, Vaden Denney, Cherrylynn Denney & James Ridgley.
