Michael McGranahan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coyle Funeral and Cremation Services - Toledo on Dec. 6, 2025.
Michael Patrick McGranahan, 62, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Toledo on August 22, 1963, to Gerald and Geraldine McGranahan.

Mike proudly served in the United States Army from 1982 to 1989, earning numerous awards and medals before being honorably discharged. Mike worked for many years at Chrysler/Jeep before retiring, though he continued to stay busy with work even after retirement. A true jack of all trades, he excelled as an HVAC specialist, contractor, and locksmith working at multiple hospitals and more recently maintenance at the Toledo Blade-there was nothing he couldn't fix. He was also gifted musically, playing many instruments with a special love for the guitar. Creative at heart, Mike was an artist, proud of his Irish heritage, and someone who found joy in riding his motorcycle, visiting the casino, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Molly McGranahan; his brother, Kevin McGranahan; his parents; and his loyal dog, Boo Boo.

Mike is survived by his children, Meggie (Aaron Krohn) McGranahan, Ashley (Tony) Cromwell, Gavin McGranahan, and Samuel Douglas; his grandchildren, Jordan, Ryan, and Dylan Cromwell, Finn McGranahan, and a granddaughter soon to arrive. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary McGranahan Gray, Erin McGranahan, Matthew Stewart, and Richie Myers; his beloved Sandy "mom"; "brother" Jon; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; former partner Halley Douglas; lifelong friend Angela Tillman; and numerous friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo on Monday, December 15th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service with military honors at 1:00 p.m.
