Michael McHenry, age 51, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Magnolia Gardens in Thomasville. Born on August 12, 1972, in Rowan County, he was the son of late Mack McHenry and Ruth Sanders McHenry.
Michael was a member of the Outreach Christian Tabernacle where his pastor was the late Chief Apostle Raymond E. Taylor. He had worked at Holmes Iron & Metal. He had a passion for music and loved his children. He continued his family values by raising his family in church.
In addition to his parents, Mack and Ruth McHenry, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Sanders and Thomas McHenry. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ti'maysiah McHenry, Taivonna Hill, Michael McHenry, II (Jr.), Ty'Quell McHenry, Ty'quan McHenry, and Tailyn Hill; grandchildren, Xavier Davis, ZoRian MeKhi, and Addison McHenry; sister, Gladys Turner; brothers, Charles E. Sanders; his special niece, Monica Sanders; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins; and his special friends, Lisa Chambers and Diane Foster.
A Celebration of Life in his memory will be held 12:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel and with the family receiving friends at 755 Whiterock Ave., Salisbury will be announced at a later date.
Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel has the honor of serving the family.
