Michael Allen Meyers

Michael (Mike) Allen Meyers passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 at Providence St. Vincent's Hospital in Portland, Oregon, after suffering from a series of strokes. Mike was born on March 18th, 1952 in Burien, Washington. He grew up in Maple Valley, Washington with 7 sisters; he was the only boy in the family. Mike graduated from Tahoma High School in 1970. Shortly after graduating, Mike moved to Salem, OR, where he met his wife Robin and they married in 1978. Mike possessed a diverse set of skills, working as a cook, farm laborer (tree farm), delivery driver for manufactured homes, and retired from the school district where he worked as a custodian for 20 years. When he wasn't at work, Mike stayed busy with projects around his house & was always there to lend a hand to friends & neighbors. He was always working in some capacity and enjoyed staying busy. Mike was very creative and enjoyed working with his hands. His hobbies included woodworking (he made doll houses, wooden bowls, built a gazebo), cross-stitch, sewing, quilting, & cooking. His beautiful cross stitch items were given to many friends, relatives and neighbors. He never seemed to be in a bad mood and could be heard whistling while he worked. Mike loved jokes (even making up his own jokes) and kept everyone around him laughing. Mike will be remembered for his big welcoming smile, his kindness, generosity & joyful spirit. Mike is survived by his wife, Robin, and his sisters Yvonne, Charlotte, Arlene, Denise, Barbara, Nadine & Shannon. Mike is also mourned by his cat Josiah. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 18th, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at Northside Community Church located at 1800 Hoskins St., Newberg, OR 97132.
