BUTLER: Michael Michalovich, 62, of Butler passed away at home, Tuesday morning, August 27, 2024 following an apparent heart attack.
Mike was born November 11, 1961 in Cleveland and graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1980.
Immediately upon his high school graduation, Mike served in the United States Army as a member of the Army Rangers Unit where he received injuries during combat training. He was honorably discharged on June 16, 1981.
Mike worked for Mansfield Plumbing Products as a finisher. He also worked construction for Town & Country and S & N.
Mike loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a trusted friend, willing to help lend a hand if needed. Owning numerous motorcycles over the years he enjoyed cruising on the open road.
Mike was a member of Resurrection Parish in Lexington.
He is survived by his son Nick (Chelsea) Michalovich of Lexington; grandchildren Blakleigh, Braxton, Ashchen, Harper, and Holden Michalovich; mother Dorothy Michalovich of Butler; siblings Ronald (Renee) Michalovich Jr. of Nashville, Ohio, James (Ana) Michalovich of Bellville and Marianne (Mark) Brokaw of Locust Grove, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Michalovich.
Friends may call Friday, August 30, 2024 from 5-7 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday, from 10-11 am in the vestibule at Resurrection Parish where a memorial mass will be offered at 11 am. Father Evarist Miku will officiate and burial will follow in Bunkerhill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Michael's memory to the Butler-Clear Fork Adult Center may be made through the funeral home.
