Michael Dewayne Duncan, Jr., 22, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on November 12, 2025, in Salem.
He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on December 19, 2002, son of Michael Dewayne and Hazel Louella (Godwin) Duncan. MJ was a 2021 graduate of Salem High School. He was currently employed at Danfoss Power Solutions in Mountain Home, Arkansas, as a forklift driver, which he enjoyed very much. MJ was a jokester and a roaster; he was always goofin’ on people. He always had a tall tale to tell and once he got you laughing you had a hard time stopping. MJ loved to hunt, fish and be on the river. His five nephews were very precious to him, and he loved spending time with them.
MJ is survived by his parents, Michael and Hazen Duncan of Salem, Arkansas; sisters, Nicki Duncan of Phoenix, Arizona and Kaitlyn Rollins and husband BJ of Dyess, Arkansas; brother in his heart, Alex Gale of Salem, Arkansas; grandmother, Earlene Duncan; five nephews, JJ, Chris, Caden, Chevy and Drake all of Dyess, Arkansas; uncles, Kevin Duncan and wife Angel of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Charles Duncan and wife Sophia of Osceola, Arkansas, James Godwin of Dyess, Arkansas and Timmy Hicks of Searcy, Arkansas; aunt, Patricia Sherrill and husband Lee of Dyess, Arkansas; girlfriend, Alexis; brother-in-law, Jonathan Prieto and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Phillip Duncan and maternal grandparents, James and Geneva Godwin.
Pallbearers include: Cody Duncan, Jake Collier, BJ Rollins, Jonathan Prieto, Alex Gale and Bryan Mullaney
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tom Doty officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.
