Michael Alan "Hug" Moore

Michael "Hug" Moore left this life October 17, 2025, at the age of 62 after courageously battling cancer.
He leaves behind his beloved life partner, Yvonne Chaney. He was the loving son of Mary Moore (nee: Unterreiner) and the late Jerry L. Moore; the cherished brother of Mark, Karen (Mike Johnson), Tim (Dana Bausch), Cindy (Willie Miesner), Jerry and Debbie, and Bryan (Tonya Holmes).
He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was happiest in the great outdoors and loved spending time camping at his "happy place" and fishing. He had a passion for playing pool and was a top competitor in his league, The Missouri Eight Ball. A good card game-especially Texas Hold'em or poker-could always capture his attention and bring out his competitive spirit.
In his younger years, he was an outstanding soccer player and had the remarkable opportunity to travel to Scotland, where he competed on a select team in international matches. We miss him dearly, and his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304. A 10:30am Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Assumption Catholic Church, 403 Main St., O'Fallon, MO 63366.
