Michael Davis Nichols of Halifax, VA passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at the age of 61. He was born in Halifax, VA on October 18, 1962 to Faye Bennett Nichols and the late Davis Nichols. He was married to Kimberly Stephens Nichols who survives.
He was a dedicated Deacon at Hunting Creek Baptist Church. Michael worked as a Control Room Operator at Mecklenburg Power Station from its opening to its closing. Following this, he served as a heavy machine operator with H&M Logging, Inc. He passionately loved operating heavy equipment, farming, grilling, listening to Bluegrass Music, and time spent with family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clinton McKinney conducting the service. Burial to follow in Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
