I totally adored him on EMERGENCY. I know he had a script, but I could tell that he was that same kind of man off camera. He was always witty, and so caring about his crew at station 51. He will always be in my prayers. i will hear that MKG 365 over and over again. RIP Cap.

May God comfort all who love and miss him, and may he Rest in Paradise. Emergency! was a cherished part of my growing up years. I'm so proud of everyone involved for the difference they made in expanding the paramedic program across the country, responsible for saving so many lives. And this is but a small part of his legacy of a life well-lived.

I'm very sorry to hear about actor Michael Norell's death. I remember him from the days he was on Emergency Squad 51 TV show. I watched that show back when I was growing up and it was an excellent show. I recently saw the 50th anniversary show of Emergency and it took me back a long way. Mr. Norell did an excellent job playing Gage & DeSoto's fire captain Hank Stanley. He was a great actor and will be sorely missed.

I knew Michael as a writer. He wrote for us on Nash Bridges and was a really brilliant writer, especially for the character of Nash Bridges’ dad. He was a truly wonderful human being, deeply creative, and so fun to work with in the writers room. Rest in peace. You brought us light and joy and will be deeply missed.

Watching Emergency every week was the highlight of my young life, and having the toys from the show as well. Mr. Norell was a great actor to play Captain Stanley. Even though he was acting you'd swear he was a real life Firefighter. May you rest in peace sir.
