Michael J. Passafiume Sr.

Michael J. Passafiume, Sr., 55, of Cedar Grove, N.J., passed away on November 9, 2023. Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove. Born in Pequannock to Maryann and the late Richard Passafiume, Michael grew up in Fairfield and then resided in Cedar Grove for the past 30 years where he raised his four children with his loving wife. He was the owner of Passafiume Carpentry and had a true passion for building and making so many homeowner's dreams come true throughout the State of New Jersey. Outside of work, he loved spending his time fishing at the Manasquan Inlet, playing with his grandchildren, shooting at the gun range, and going out for a drive with his wife. He was the kind of man that anyone could count on – no questions asked.
Predeceased by his father, Richard, Sr., and brother, Richard Passafiume, Jr., he is survived by his beloved wife, Therese (nee: Shaw); his mother, Maryann Passafiume (nee: Windishman); loving children, Michael J. Passafiume, Jr., and his wife, Kara, Ashley Kennedy, and her husband, John, Nicholas Passafiume, and his fiancée, Gianna, and Trevor Passafiume; cherished grandchildren, Corey Passafiume, Gunner Passafiume, and Hailey Kennedy; and dear nephew, Richard Passafiume; and sister-in-law Anna Passafiume.
