Michael Perez Obituary

Michael dedicated his life to education, faith, and family. He earned his Master of Education in ESL and served as a devoted teacher at Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School in the Lehigh Valley. He was also a Deacon at the Local Christian Assembly - Forest Hills in Ephrata, where he faithfully served, driven by his passion to honor the Lord and care for God's people. He was known around the world for his labor of love in ministry. He had the heart of a servant and his testimony of faith will continue to ripple through the lives of touched by his words.
He was married for 26 wonderful years to the love of his life, Sheila Eunice Alicea Negron. Together, they built a beautiful family and made cherished memories traveling, sharing breakfasts, and living a life rooted in love and laughter.
Michael was a loving father to Michael Joseph Perez Alicea and Lyzann Eunice Muñoz-Perez, and a proud father-in-law to Dante Muñoz Fernandez. He is also survived by his siblings: Hayia Rafaela Perez Nadav (Kay Elaine), Naida Cristina Perez, and Joel Perez.
Michael was a lifelong Yankees fan, loved coaching baseball, and had a passion for collecting baseball cards. One of his favorite pastimes was "breakfast hopping" with his wife. He was also a determined, if not always successful, gardener-his most notable harvest included one pepper, a few small tomatoes, and a peculiar squash. His daughter will proudly continue the garden legacy.
He was predeceased by his father, Humberto Perez.
Michael will be remembered for his warm heart, sharp sense of humor, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. His presence, guidance, and love will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
