Michael Jean Perrin, a lifelong member of the Scottsburg community, passed away on March 25, 2025, at Hickory Creek at Scottsburg, Indiana, at the age of 81. Born on March 20, 1944, in Scottsburg, Indiana, Michael was well-known for his friendly demeanor, strong work ethic, and dedication to his family and community.
A proud graduate of Scottsburg High School in 1962, Michael dedicated over 35 years to the family business, Perrin Oil Company, where he exemplified hard work and commitment. Alongside his beloved wife, Kay Bardin Perrin, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage, Michael also took on the role of co-owner of Ashmoore RV Park in Scottsburg, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and deep ties to his hometown.
Michael's legacy will be fondly remembered by his family, including his son, Michael T. Perrin of Scottsburg, Indiana, and daughter, Nikki Perrin King, along with her husband Rick, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren, Ben King, Loren King, and Jack King, who were a source of immense pride and joy in his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Merle Perrin and Irene Casey Perrin, both of whom shaped his character and values.
Michael Jean Perrin leaves behind a legacy of industriousness and warmth that will continue to resonate in the lives of those who knew and loved him. His contributions to both his family and community will be remembered with great affection and respect.
All funeral services were private and he was laid to rest following at Scottsburg Cemetery.
