Michael Pleshek, 34, left us unexpectedly and went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2025. A lifetime Puebloan, born June 10,1990 to proud parents Robert and Roxanne Pleshek. Preceded in death by Grandparents Pauline Longoria and Robert Pleshek, Sr., Aunt Mary Woodky, Cousin Jennifer Diamond, and other extended relatives.
Michael was an exceptional young man who had an infectious and unforgettable smile and a great head of hair. Mike graduated from South High School in 2009 where he played baseball and football and went on to graduate from CSU-Pueblo in 2017 with a bachelor's in history. He utilized his education at GlobalED Solutions where he guided his students in achieving their high school diploma and ran their sports program. He also worked part time at SoCo Liquor.
Michael was an outgoing person and loved kids, often going out of his way to make them laugh and enjoy life. He loved all sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox and Raider's fan and was in several bowling leagues around town. Mike loved music; you could always catch him listening and dancing to some of his favorites including Bruno Mars, Little Richard, and his all time favorite, Garth Brooks. He loved the outdoors and would go fishing, hiking and camping and spend quality time with family and friends at Taylor Reservoir nearly every year wearing his cowboy hat, boots, and shorts. Mike had a big heart, was a man of faith, kind, and a protector of all he knew. Most of all, he loved his family and friends and got along with everyone. He had many close friends going back to grade school.
Michael is survived by loving parents Bob and Roxanne, siblings Dena Manning, Eddie Pleshek, and Tamara Pleshek (Martin Sena), grandfather Eddie Longoria, grandmother Beverly Pleshek, Aunts Christina and Elena Longoria, Michelle Diamond and Pat Diaz, Uncle Jeff Pleshek, Godmother Wilma Fitzgerald, close cousins Andrew Longoria and Tony Fitzgerald, Nieces and Nephews, Donald (Dar) and Christina Tafoya, Andrew and Kamillia Manning, Alexis and Athan Baros, great Nieces Maui and Lilith and great Nephew Coast, God children Ainsley Lira and Ronan Ortiz, special friend Erika Flores, and many other close friends and family who will miss him dearly.
The family would like to thank family and friends for their generosity in providing meals, flowers, thoughts, prayers, and support.
Funeral Mass, 10 am, Thurs., March 6, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church.

The first time I met Mike, Tamara was hanging out with some friends and I when he walked into prime time. He stared me down while shaking my hand, the look on his face was, "who the #!@# are you and why are you siting by my sister" I will never forget it. That is how the first few times we were around each other went. Saying he was protective of those he loved was an understatement. It took a while to break through with him especially because I am a Broncos and Notre Dame fan. Though as fans we had a strong dislike for each others teams, we always could find common ground in our sports wagering losses (and once in a while a win). We could always talk about our Fantasy Football Teams, and our college football parlay or how the Colorado Rockies need to be sold. Once I was "in" Mikey, he treated me like a brother either celebrating a holiday or giving me crap about one of my teams even going as far as betting on the same parlay a few times just so we had mutual cheering interest for once (which we did win a few). I will miss him, especially on Broncos Raiders Game Day, or when we are on the lake at Taylor, or at a family gathering for the holidays. We will tell stories, laugh, and celebrate his life.
