Michael Polca

Michael B. Polca, age 88, of Hinckley, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Polca; his children, Cheryl (Tom) Carratola, Cindy Polca, Michael (Lori) Polca, Susan (William) Kutrubs, and Laszlo (Michele) Szantay; grandchildren, Christina Carratola, Alysse Carratola, Michael Tyler Polca, Nicholas Kutrubs, Alexander (Sarita) Kutrubs-Mann, Jessica Kutrubs, Lindsey (Eric) Peto, Kayley Szantay, and Logan Szantay; and great-grandchildren, Haylie Carratola and Theo Peto. He is also survived by his sister, Eleanor (Eric) Randall.
Michael was preceded in death by his siblings, Connie (Joseph) Bemer and Dan (Rita) Polca.
Michael truly enjoyed life. He loved going on cruises and spending time bowling, golfing, hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards, and working on puzzles. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and took great pride in his garden, especially growing grapes. Known for his warm personality and quick wit, Michael had a wonderful sense of humor and brought joy to those around him.
A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Carlson Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
