Michael J. Pons, age 77, of Hanover, passed away on October 19, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital of UMPC Memorial in York. He was the loving husband of Norma J. (Smith) Pons; together they shared 57 years of marriage.
Michael was born in Baltimore, MD on August 17, 1946 and was the son of the late Francis W. and Mary E. (Price) Pons. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and worked as a heating and plumbing design engineer in the HVAC industry for government contracts.
In addition to his loving wife Norma, Michael is survived by his children Michael J. Pons and Sandra M. Gall and (almost son-in-law) Richard Sima; his grandpups Meadow and Shiloh; and his brother William F. Pons. He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Brown and Anna Curtis.
Funeral services and interment will be held privately by the family under the direction of Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of McSherrystown.
