Michael Jerome Reavis Favorite Saying: "Keep it Moving" I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 A Time to be Born Michael Jerome Reavis, 70 years old, was born to Lunette Reavis and Lewis Reese in Lunenburg County, Virginia. A Time to Grow He graduated from Central High school in Lunenburg County where he played Boys Varsity Basketball and participated in various clubs and activities. As a student he worked, volunteered and gave back to his community. A Time to Love Michael enjoyed watching the NFL and was a HUGE Rams fan. He could tell you every player that ever played, every win and every loss, but much like a Dallas Cowboys fan's logic even with the Rams lost - they won. Michael worked much of his life as a car salesman; working over 40 years at various dealerships throughout New Jersey and Richmond, Virginia. A Time to Die Michael passed away on April 19, 2025, and is preceded in death by his parents Lunette Reavis and Lewis Reese, and spouse Sheila Reavis. A Time to Mourn He is survived by his daughters Dominique Henry and LaKesha Tarry, granddaughters Lundyn Henry, Da'Cota Salters and Dilynn Salters, siblings Barbara Branch, Carroll Reavis, Patricia Smith and Connie Thompson, as well as a host of relatives and friends. A Time to Live Again Michael lived a life full of joy, laughter and love. In his final years, he embraced life with a spirit that was both vibrant and inspiring, bringing much happiness to those around him. Through trial and triumph, his family stood by him – and he by them – with unwavering love and loyalty. His kindness, humor, wisdom, and warmth left an imprint on all our hearts. We, his family, are deeply thankful for the 70 years we were given with him. Though the grief is great, we find peace in knowing that his soul has found rest in the arms of the Lord, reunited with his beloved parents and cherished spouse. We will continue to trust in the promise of eternal life, knowing that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8)
