We lost our "Mike" on January 5th, 2023. He tried so hard to stay with us, but God had other plans for him.
His life story began 75 years ago when he was born to Francis and Charlyne Reding in Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up with three other siblings in Independence, Missouri, went to and graduated from St Mary's High School. He soon married and had three beautiful children. He served his country bravely in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked at Ford Motor Co. in Claycomo, Missouri for 38 years before retiring to enjoy many interests, which included working outside in his yard and projects in his garage. He was always helping his neighbors, friends, and even strangers with what they needed. Most important was the work he put into deepening his Catholic faith.
Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cindy, his three children Angie (James), Tammy, and Jason. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha and a brother Jerry. He has one surviving brother, Christopher (Pam) Reding, and a sister-in-law, Sharon Reding. From his wife's side he is survived by a father-in-law, John Todd, a sister-in-law, Tammy Wetzel, and a brother-in- law Brian Lewis (Vickie), seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mike will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
