Michael D. "Mike" Reichling, age 65 of rural Darlington, WI passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at his home. He was born September 9, 1958, in Darlington, the son of Richard and Patricia (Howery) Reichling. Mike grew up in Darlington and graduated from Darlington High School. He was united in marriage to his best friend, Tammy Davis, on May 28, 1985, in Darlington. Together they lived on the farm where he dedicated his entire life to providing for his family. He farmed with his father and later his son, Shane, always taking great pride in the work they accomplished together.
Mike is survived by his wife Tammy at home; his children: Shane (Francie) Reichling and Jessica (Roger Burbach) Reichling both of Darlington; his grandchildren that he absolutely adored: Knox and Dekker Reichling, Madden and Molly Burbach, and was expecting a new addition in November 2024 with the newest Baby Burbach due then; his brothers: Rick (Karen) Reichling and Steve (Wendi) Reichling; a sister: Lori (Ron) Lee; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rich and Patsy (Howery) Reichling; and his mother-in-law: Lovey Davis.
Mike spent all of his working hours on the farm and if he wasn't doing that he was working on trucks, most recently he was helping Shane with his 1950 Studebaker. Some of his favorite memories were created when he traveled cross country with his brother-in-law, Tommy Davis and always looked forward to Jeep rides he took with Tammy and the time he spent driving his 1972 Chevy. He was social by nature and always welcomed people to stop by his shop to visit with him. His family was the center of his universe and he always made sure they knew how proud he was of them. He always had a special spot in his heart for the time he spent teaching Knox how to farm.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at the Lafayette County Christian Church (11560 Center Hill Rd, Darlington, WI 53530) with Rev.
