Michael, affectionately known by his friends and family as simply Michael, was the beloved husband of Phyllis, with whom he shared a decade of love and companionship. He was a devoted son to his mother, Virginia Martin, and a proud father to his children, Michael Jr. and Melissa Skaggs. His two grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life, will miss their grandfather's friendly smile and gentle embrace.
An only child, Michael's work as a cook at the historic Artist Colony Inn in Nashville, Indiana, allowed him to express his creativity and love for culinary arts. Vistation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 12-2pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood with a Funeral service at 2pm.
