Michael "Rocky" Richard Harbaugh, left this world on August 5, 2025, in Williamsport, MD. Born on October 16, 1949, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late John L. Harbaugh and Anna (Klick) Harbaugh. Rocky graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1968, then went on to dedicate his career as a trailer mechanic and inspector at Grove Mfg. Co., Fairchild, and later at D.M. Bowman until his retirement.
Rocky's personality was a delightful blend of charm and mischief; he had a knack for making others smile, whether through his thoughtful gestures or endearing sense of humor. He was a man of principle and passion, committed not only to his work but also to various organizations, including the AARP, American Diabetes Association, and the Sons of the American Legion, Post 211 in Funkstown. He was a previous member of the Moose Lodge of Hagerstown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kaye L. Harbaugh; daughters, Laura Hull (Nelson) of Hagerstown, Sandra Harbaugh Fertsch of Cameron, TX, Michelle Cunningham (Jeff Long) of Hagerstown, and Kami Carbaugh (Albert) of Big Pool, MD; sister, Rose Kershner of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Ashley Klinck (Corey), Jetta Fertsch of Cameron, TX, and Milo Fertsch of Belton, TX; great-grandchildren, Daliah Nilsson, Sienna Klinck, and Mason Aflleje.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 1:00pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00-1:00. Interment will follow at Saint John's Episcopal Church 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown, MD.
