Michael F. Rotondo, age 94, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023 at the Terraces of Westminster. He was the loving husband of the late Helen L. (Donahue) Rotondo who passed away on April 16, 2008; together they shared 57 years of marriage.
Michael was born in Providence, RI on February 23, 1929 and was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Palia) Rotondo. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years and later as a private courier. Michael also loved going for car rides and driving his car.
Michael is survived by his daughter Ann Beirne and husband James of Westminster, MD; his grandchildren James Beirne and wife Elizabeth and Courtney Friesen and husband Jared; his great-grandchildren Nella Friesen and Isaac Friesen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his siblings Louis Rotondo, Alfred Rotondo, Camilla San Antonio, and Nikki Izzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Michael's Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 220 Third St., Hanover, PA 17331 with Rev. Michael P. Reid, II as celebrant. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest next to his wife at St. Vincent's Cemetery in Hanover. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM – 11:00AM on Monday prior to the Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Funeral services are under the direction of Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of McSherrystown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's memory may be made to Bridging Life Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
