Mr. Roy was a proud Veteran of the US Army. Michael led a difficult, struggling life but always managed to make those around him laugh with his larger than life personality! He adored the Cubs and Bears, almost as much as he loved his cat, Bella. He was loved deeply by his family.
Michael is survived by his siblings, Tessie (Pauline Bouchard) of Mendon, MA, Mary (Robert Covert) of Healdsburg, CA, Christine (Kevin) Nearey of Frederick, MD, Nadine (Peg Wieser) of Asheville, NC, and Gloria (Will Volny) of Yorkville, IL, as well as many numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Entombment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery Chapel, 1S510 Winfield, Road, Wheaton, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local animal shelter.
