Michael "Mike" Steven Sampson, born on July 23, 1966, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, at the age of 58. Mike was a loving father, devoted friend, and a man with a zest for life.
He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Caitlyn Bragg (Karl) and Elizabeth Schaufler (Logan), as well as his cherished granddaughter, Eleanor Bragg. Mike also leaves behind his former wife, Alisa Sampson (née Ihrig), and his stepdaughter, Amanda Myrick. He is deeply mourned by his mother, Darla Sampson (née Neal); his brothers, Mark Sampson, Chris Sampson, and Aren Enderle; and his aunt, Jennifer Neal. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Michael Sampson; his brother, Steven Sampson; and his aunt, Karen Neal.
Professionally, Mike worked as a life insurance salesman and spent many years as a sales manager with Humana. His natural ability to connect with others, paired with his leadership skills, made him a respected colleague in his field.
Known for his infectious humor, quick wit, and ability to make those around him laugh, Mike was rarely seen without a smile on his face. His love for classic rock, especially Led Zeppelin, was a constant in his life, as was his passion for traveling to new places, spending time outdoors, rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals, and playing golf. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life and took great joy in spending time with family and friends, sharing laughter, and creating lasting memories.
Services to honor Mike's life will be held on Friday, September 13th, at Serenity Funeral Care in Covington, KY. Visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a service at 2:00 pm to celebrate the life of a man who touched the hearts of so many.
Mike was a dedicated father and friend who left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will continue to bring warmth, laughter, and love to those who hold him dear.

To The Sampson Family,
We are truly sorry to hear of your great loss. Mike was always a good guy going all the way back to grade school and childhood. We remember Mike and Mark being very smart, kind and generous. May God grant you peace to replace the grief and heartache of losing such a wonderful person at a young age. There are no words to take away the pain and sorrow but we all have the hope of being together again in His Kingdom one day.
