Obituary For Michael William Sardelli
Michael William Sardelli, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, peacefully departed from this world on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in Truth or Consequences, NM. He was 84 years old. Mike was born on October 1, 1939 in Providence, RI to Enrico and Anita DeTroia Sardelli. He was a proud veteran of the US Airforce.
Mike lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion. He was known for deep devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the Catholic Church. Mike didn't just attend church, but fully embodied the Christian Spirit. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus- serving as Grand Knight, a Secular Franciscan Monk of the Conventual Order and a volunteer at many organizations including: Prison Ministries of North Dakota and Florida; Ministry on the Margins in Bismarck, ND; Open Arms Pregnancy Center in Truth or Consequences, NM; as well as delivering Meals on Wheels. He touched the lives of many with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness.
Mike retired from Kay Jewelers as a Reginal Vice President, in 2013, after 35 years with the company. When not working or volunteering his time, Mike was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, he also followed the Washington Commanders football team and the Maryland Terps. He loved music and played the steel guitar in a band in his youth. He also enjoyed playing golf, working in his yard, feeding the hummingbirds, and soaking in the hot springs of New Mexico. Mike's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially when he got to cheer for his grandsons while playing football, baseball and hockey.
Mike will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories shared together. He leaves behind his children: Susan Quade and her husband Kenny, David Sardelli and his wife Kathy, and Angela Sardelli; his grandchildren: Anthony (Amber) Hall, Philip (Sara) Hall, Devin Sardelli, and Dain Sardelli; his great grandchildren- Serenity, A.J., and Dylan Hall; and his sister- in -law, Paula Sardelli.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Ann Sardelli; father, Enrico Sardelli; mother, Anita Sardelli-McHugh; and brother, John Sardelli.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, officiated by Father Tom. A reception will immediately follow in the church Hall.
