Michael Anthony Scott

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Michael Anthony Scott into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 20, 2026. Michael was a devoted husband, father and uncle who was happiest spending time with his family.

Michael was born on January 17, 1950, in Jersey City, NJ to James C. Scott and Elizabeth A. Scott. He attended Our Lady of Mercy Grammar School in Whippany, NJ and Bayley-Ellard High School in Madison, NJ before attending Franklin College in Franklin, IN where he received a BA in History.

Upon graduation, Michael was employed by Marsh & McLennan in New York City as a Managing Director in the Marine and Energy Department and continued there for 34 years. He managed both domestic and international energy clients including Conoco and Chevron. His international accounts allowed him to travel to London, Scandinavia, Angola, Saudi Arabia and Southeast Asis, particularly Malaysia.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, James C. Scott and Elizabeth A. Scott and his brother, James Scott, Psy.D. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynn Scott; his son, Matthew Scott; his sister Kathleen Scott and her husband, Robert Maras; his brother Kevin Scott and his wife, Kim Scott and their two sons, Michael and Brian.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation and memorial service on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Lincroft Bible Church, 790 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 to celebrate and remember Michael's life. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 10:45 am and the service will begin at 11:00 am. Everyone is welcome to gather in the Fellowship Hall following the service for a light lunch. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Lincroft Bible Church.
