Michael Semsch Obituary
Michael F. Semsch, 85 of Media, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025. Born on November 3, 1939 in Jena, Germany, Michael was a beloved husband, father and friend.
Michael was an Executive with Lufthansa German Airlines, Cargo Division. He moved to the United States in 1971. First to Minneapolis and in 1979 to Philadelphia. His last assignment was as Director South Asia based in New Delhi, India. After his retirement he and his wife returned to the Philadelphia area.
He was also involved with the Big Brother/Big Sister Association and for several years devoted his time as a Big Brother to a young boy.
Michael is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Heidi, their sons, Stephan (wife Monica) and Bob (wife Jennifer) as well as family members and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like that donations be made in Michael's memory to the Bethesda Project or any other charity of your choice for the homeless in Philadelphia.
